Clwb Run Wales Partner Groups<\/a> are our \u2018gold standard\u2019 running groups, demonstrating best practice for other Run Wales groups and new groups under development, championing social running within their local communities, and offering Welsh Athletics affiliation to their members via Clwb Run Wales<\/a>, our virtual running club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are grateful for all the nominations made in this category, it is inspiring to read about all the wonderful activities hosted by each of the groups, and reasons for making the nominations. Every group has such brilliant ways of supporting their runners, and we love how the videos<\/a>, provided by our three finalists, really demonstrate the breadth of what a social running group can be. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Huge congratulations to you all. We look forward to hearing who has been announced as the 2022 Clwb Run Wales Partner Group of the Year on Saturday 12th November at the Welsh Athletics Annual Awards in Cardiff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“JRP are more than just a social running group, they provide unique services such as the Visually Impaired Walk to run group in collaboration with Bridgend Inclusive Network Group (BING), this has attracted users from across South Wales, some travelling as far as Hereford to access this free provision. One of the VI runners has also progressed to their local parkrun and JRP has provided Guide Runners in the Cardiff Area to support his needs.”<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

M\u00f4n Milers<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Not only do M\u00f4n Milers run sessions every day, for all ages, abilities etc. the community that’s been created is truly something special, I can think of fewer groups where someone just starting on couch to 5k can take part alongside ultra marathon runners and gain just as much in terms of challenge and enjoyment. The group has changed people’s lives not only physically but mentally.”<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Vale Runners<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This group of runners, run leaders and coaches are so very welcoming, they all help each other and have taken people from C25K all the way to a marathon with help, advice and coaching plans. They organise female and men only runs for mental health every fortnight. They also do some morning and weekend runs for those that can’t make it in the week. Additional to this, they support a charity to help raise money with quiz nights etc.”<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
