{"id":17772,"date":"2025-03-11T15:28:39","date_gmt":"2025-03-11T15:28:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/irun.wales\/?p=17772"},"modified":"2025-03-11T15:31:45","modified_gmt":"2025-03-11T15:31:45","slug":"womens-conference-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/irun.wales\/cy\/news\/womens-conference-25\/","title":{"rendered":"Women&#8217;s Running Conference 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Welsh Athletics are delighted to be hosting a Women\u2019s Running Conference, in conjunction with the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/newportwalesmarathon.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ABP Newport Marathon Festival<\/a>&nbsp;on Saturday 12&nbsp;April 2025 at USW Newport Campus.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p>The day will be an inspiring and engaging event to celebrate the growth in women\u2019s running and to explore specific female health topics relating to running.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees will hear from experts from the fields of Strength &amp; Conditioning, Nutrition, Menopause, Menstrual Cycles, Pre &amp; Post Partum Running and Pelvic Health all through the lens of a female runner. These sessions will provide a mixture of the theory and how that can then be applied in practice to your everyday running. There will be an interactive guest panel where attendees can ask questions of the experts and other champions from the running community.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will also be a selection of exhibitors&nbsp;hosting female specific products such as&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.teampebe.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">PEBE Sportsbras<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nixibody.com\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">NIXI Body<\/a>&nbsp;(leak-proof knickers) as well as other running related organisations.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will be hosted by Welsh ultrarunner and S4C Presenter&nbsp;<strong>Lowri Morgan<\/strong>. Lowri will be joined by guest speakers and industry experts including Olympic Gold Medallist and UK Athletics President&nbsp;<strong>Dame Denise Lewis<\/strong>, former GB Athlete and former parkrun record holder&nbsp;<strong>Charlotte Dobbs<\/strong>&nbsp;(nee Arter) and 2023 Newport Marathon winner&nbsp;<strong>Lizzie Dimond<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A final timetable will be available
