For international Women\u2019s Day, I asked my ladies who inspires them. Here\u2019s a few comments I received.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy mum is my inspiration. From making 65 dance outfits in order for me to join in the dance concert (money was tight, that\u2019s the only way she could get the money together), whilst working nights as an auxiliary nurse, to being the best Nana ever, she always goes above and beyond for all of us\u2026\u2026. I\u2019m truly blessed\u201d \u2013 Sally T.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cMine will be my sister Alana Adams. We lost our beloved mum at 42 and she took over that job\u2026..Being 19 and having to bring up a teenage brat\u2026. She was tough but I\u2019ll be eternally thankful because without her I wouldn\u2019t have survived\u2026.. and I haven\u2019t turned out half bad eh?\u201d \u2013 Janine B.<\/p>\n \u201cMy lovely mum, who was a single mum bringing me up on her own. Now she\u2019s a fab Gran too\u201d \u2013 Karen R.<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cMine would be my mam, for making me the person that I am today and for being there in every way possible. My mother as diagnosed with breast cancer just over 2 years ago but she came out the other end fitter and stronger than ever, she was so determined to kick its ass ad she has certainly succeeded in doing so!! This has also got so much to do with Diva Sport for giving her the determination to get fit and string again! She lives for her Vibe Cycle sessions with Claire\u201d \u2013 Jodie G.<\/p>\n \u201cMine is my mum. She brought 4 of us up, me being the youngest and most naughty child possible! She worked all hours in the Double Diamond & the Castle Hotel in Caerphilly to make sure we never went without and had our 2 weeks miners holiday in Porthcawl. She is 80 this year and only retired at the age of 76 because she was made redundant. She taught me how to be a kind, caring, hardworking individual and to always look after my family and friends. She is my mother, father and best friend and still cooks my tea every Tuesday\u201d \u2013 Diane E.<\/strong><\/p>\n Lastly my inspiration(s) are \u2013 every single woman who walks through the doors at Diva Sport. You inspire and motivate me to keep going every day. Whether you come to run, cycle, step or kettlercise, you make the effort to walk through that door with a smile on your face. You all work bloody hard, you sweat, you groan, you ache and you call us some colourful names at times when we work you to the bone! You keep coming back for more, you push yourselves to do better, work harder and to feel good. Ladies, I applaud you. You rock! You\u2019re a bunch of kick ass mo-fo\u2019s and you make me so proud.
