The even is very much in it\u2019s infancy, after only launching it\u2019s first event just 11 weeks ago but has averaged an astonishing 85 runners per week since starting on 10<sup>th<\/sup> February.<\/p>\n<p>The Llanerchaeron parkrun recently welcomed several inspirational Couch to 5k graduates from Newcastle Emlyn, who were completing their first ever 5k run. Prior to that, the event hosted a special Easter parkrun event where they had record numbers of parkrunners \u2013 111 in total despite the cold and rainy conditions! In addition, the event saw a turnout of 90 runners for their Sport Relief parkrun on 24<sup>th<\/sup> March, with participants wearing red and raising a brilliant \u00a3105.34 in aid of Sport Relief!<\/p>\n<p>The Llanerchaeron parkrun course offers runners a flat, fast trail course consisting of a small out and back loop followed by a large out and back loop, which takes runners along the river Aeron for the entire length of the Llanerchaeron trail towards Aberaeron. The course starts and finishes in the same place which is around an 8 minute walk from the car park. The Llanerchaeron parkrun would not be able to function and operate without it\u2019s dedicated and hard-working volunteers who turn up every Saturday morning to set up the course for all participants.
