This positive action movement is aimed at;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Celebrating the achievements of our female coach and leader community.<\/li><li>Encouraging and supporting more female coaches to not only get involved in coaching but to progress on their coaching journeys in Athletics.<\/li><li>Creating a platform to access a positive and inclusive support network.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>To help champion the coaching opportunities in our Sport Welsh Athletics are working with 15 female coach Ambassadors from across Wales;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Lisa Waddon (CMSA)<\/li><li>Lucy Griffiths (Pembrokeshire Harriers\/Cardiff AAC)<\/li><li>Gwennan Lewis (Swansea Harriers\/Cardiff Met AC)<\/li><li>&nbsp;Anna Paterson (Rhymney Valley AC)<\/li><li>Carol Jones (Carmarthenshire Harriers)<\/li><li>Sarah Kearney (Wirral AC)<\/li><li>Tania Williams (Deeside AC)<\/li><li>Lynne Brier (Swansea Harriers)<\/li><li>Megan Hunter (Wrexham AC)<\/li><li>Emma Loyns (Ogmore Phoenix Runners)<\/li><li>Amy Crocombe (Deeside AC)<\/li><li>Wendy Slade (Swansea Harriers)<\/li><li>Lorraine Graham- Mulvaney (Cardiff AAC)<\/li><li>Judith Gooding (Swansea Harriers)<\/li><li>Alyson Hourihan (Cardiff AAC)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For the next 12 months, these Ambassadors will be sharing their stories, and insight, online and across a series of virtual networking opportunities. These will be accessible to all female leaders and coaches. With a sprinkling of guest speakers, we hope that this will be the platform to share ideas, ask questions and create a support network for more coaches in our sport in 2021 and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;Each Ambassador has been matched with a female coach mentor to support their coach development journey alongside their Ambassadorship and Welsh Athletics is very pleased to announce that those mentors are; <a href=\"http:\/\/teamengland.org\/news\/kelly-sotherton-announced-as-team-englands-track--field-team-leader-for-birmingham-2022-commonwealth-games\">Kelly Sotherton<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/uk.linkedin.com\/in\/laura-kerr-803700200\">Laura Kerr<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/fyfitness.co.uk\/about\/helen-clitheroe\/\">Helen Clitheroe<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Amy_Foster_(athlete)\">Amy Foster<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.westlondontrackandfield.com\/laura\">Laura Turner-Alleyne<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also an exciting opportunity to receive funded support to become an Athletics Coach or Coach in Running Fitness.
