I am one of the founding members of SSP. I started running after the diagnosis of borderline osteoporosis at 54 years of age and the advice to do weight bearing exercise. My love of running grew gradually especially being able to combine running with travelling. I like to introduce others to running and help them to love it as much as I do.

I am one of the founding members of SSP. I started running when, in my late 40s, I realised my fitness was suffering from working long hours in the office and commuting. I still really enjoy the quick reset running provides and helps to balance everyday responsibilities. I’ve run the Brighton and Newport Marathons and several half-marathons and I’m a regular running and volunteering at parkrun. In 2025 I trained as a Leader in Running Fitness and I really enjoy sharing my passion for running with beginner and returner runners. One of the things that really excites me about Social Soles Penarth is our aspiration to offer longer social runs accessible for all levels of runners. |
