A Christmas social with a difference – Porth Eirias Runners donned Santa suits to celebrate the festive season and took part in their first Llandudno Santa Dash.
The annual fun run followed a 5k route down the Llandudno pier, then along the promenade to the paddling pool returning back to the pier where the runners were greeted with a Santa themed medal as they crossed the finish line.
Paula Ford, Porth Eirias group leader said:
“It was a lot of fun – what a great way for a running group to celebrate Christmas! We all looked great in our bobble hats, beards and red suits. The wet weather didn’t dampen our spirits and we all crossed the finish line with a big smile!”
The Christmas social didn’t stop there and the group enjoyed a well-deserved afternoon tea at a local hotel.
Porth Eirias Running group meet every Monday and Wednesday, 6.30pm at Porth Eirias in Colwyn Bay, North Wales. New members (of all abilities) are welcome.
