I know it’s a cliché but why not?
I’m actually not setting many performance based goals as I would like to hold on to the whole “enjoying running” thing. I would, however, like to finally break a sub 2:30 Half time. I know I can do it, on paper it looks so easy but actually out there running? Not a chance! I am too weak mentally. This is my first goal:
- Believe in myself. I can do it, I know I can do so prove it!
- Sub 2:30 half marathon – this goes hand in hand with the first one
- Enjoy myself – don’t beat myself up when I have a bad run. And finally
- Post a better full marathon time. I am still deeply disappointed in my first marathon finish time and that mainly came from lack of mental strength. My next one will be better!
