This week’s parkrun of the week is the Maesteg parkrun, which takes place every Saturday morning at Welfare Park, Maesteg. This Saturday, the Maesteg parkrun event is inviting all participants and volunteers to wear their favourite race tops this weekend – a fun and unique chance for everyone involved to share their favourite race memories and experiences! In addition, the event will host some special visitors this weekend from Pencoed Primary School with kids that have just finished their 0-5k training plans coming along to do their first ever parkrun! Please make sure you’re giving them all the support and encouragement they so thoroughly deserve!
The Maesteg parkrun would not be able to function and operate without it’s dedicated and hard-working volunteers who turn up every Saturday morning to set up the course for all participants. The 5km course at Maesteg takes runners on four scenic laps around Welfare Park, and you can grab a post-run coffee with fellow parkrunners and volunteers after the event at 21 Café on Talbot Street!
