Run With Us

This month, we are setting a challenge for everyone interested in getting healthier, feeling better, and having some fun whilsts doing it.

The challenge? To Run With Us.

That’s it. No fitness targets in sight. No pressure to perform. And definitely no gruelling training sessions to take part in. Just getting your trainers on and getting out there.

It can be a light jog up and down your street to start with or getting a friend out for a run after work. Or, if something more organised is your cup of tea, there are local running groups in your area who are welcoming new runners every day.

They’re not only an open, accessible, and welcoming entry into social running, but are also a great way to connect with new people and to see your local area in a whole new way.

We know the past couple of years have been tough and running hasn’t been the top of everyone’s agenda. So, we’re asking you to give it a try by finding an option that suits your lifestyle.

To help, we’ve got more details on getting started, whatever your level, as well as our various initiatives and programmes to suit all motivations at irun.wales/RunWithUs.

“This month, we’d love to see people across the country get involved with Run With Us and discover the joys of running”, explains James Williams, CEO at Welsh Athletics.

“Whether it’s exploring your local area in a whole new way, feeling healthier physically and mentally, or making new friends, there are so many benefits to be had when running that anyone can experience.”

There will also be chances to get involved with #RunWithUs online as well.

If you’re new to running and start to run with us this April, to follow us on our Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram for daily opportunities to let us know how you’re getting on. We’d love to hear more about your #RunWithUs stories and journeys.

And if you’re already a runner, keep an eye out on our social media channels for ways throughout the month to help us spread the word and get your family and friends to discover the joys and feel the benefits of running by asking them to Run With Us.
