As part of Run Wales’ ongoing partnership with DW Fitness First, we are delighted to be supporting National Fitness Day (Wednesday, 26th September).
National Fitness Day will see a huge range of free events and taster sessions take place across the country, and DW Fitness First is throwing open its doors to provide activities for everyone as part of National Fitness Day 2018 – the most active day of the year.
The day sees the nation celebrate the fun and thrills of physical activity. Throughout the UK, more than 20,000 free events will take place in gyms, leisure centres, parks, high streets, schools, universities and workplaces as over five million people lace up their trainers and embrace being active for the day.
As part of our partnership with DW Fitness First and ongoing commitment to Run Wales members, we’re delighted to announce that DW Fitness First facilities across Wales will be offering a Free Day Pass to anyone wanting to get active and lace up their trainers on National Fitness Day!

To coincide with National Fitness Day, DW Fitness First is pioneering the Healthy Half Hour, encouraging companies and staff members across the UK to get active during their lunch break to promote a healthy workplace and work / life balance. CEO of DW Fitness First Martin Long has pioneered the new scheme, which launches this week; encouraging companies across the UK to give their staff half an hour extra paid lunch break if their employees pledge to do something active.
