Congratulations!! Whether you want to start running* or are coming back to it after some time off, there is a huge amount of support available to you.
You can use one of our great training plans or an App to help you take a proven, structured approach to starting to run if you want to run alone.
However, there are also beginner’s courses available across Wales, delivered by qualified Run Leaders and Coaches, with Run Wales Groups or Welsh Athletics clubs.
Find a beginner’s course
Many people find that the support and motivation they receive by joining a beginner’s running group help them enjoy the process and keep up with their running.
All of the providers listed below are registered with either Run Wales or Welsh Athletics, and offer structured sessions, led by qualified Run Leaders or coaches, to support new or returning runners get running.
There may be a variation in the level of support provided, course duration, what is included, frequency of provision and cost from different providers, so please contact the group or club directly to find out more about their offer.
